ArcGIS Patch Notifier emails you when Esri publishes new patches for the ArcGIS products and versions you choose - every patch, or security and critical patches only.

How It Works

• The site checks the public Esri patch feed (downloads.esri.com/patch_notification/patches.json) every few hours.
• When new patches appear, subscribers whose preferences match receive a single digest email listing them, with links to the official Esri patch pages.
• Signing up is passwordless: you confirm your email address by clicking a one-time link, and the same mechanism signs you in to change preferences later.
• Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link that removes your address immediately.

Who Can Sign Up

Subscriptions are intended for people administering ArcGIS in their organisation, so only work email addresses are accepted - free consumer and disposable email domains are declined.

Why Work Emails Only?

This is a free service, but sending email is not free - every message delivered has a real cost, and keeping a sending domain in good standing takes ongoing effort. Restricting signups to work addresses keeps those costs spent on the people the service is built for:

• Material cost - each notification is sent through a commercial email provider that charges per message. Disposable inboxes and throwaway signups would consume that budget without anyone ever reading the emails.
• Deliverability - bounces and spam reports from low-quality addresses damage the sending domain's reputation, which delays or blocks delivery for everyone else.
• Right audience - patch notifications are useful to people responsible for ArcGIS in an organisation, and those people have work email addresses.
